An interesting comment, Josephine, & one I agree with, at least in so far
as it applies to Picasso (I just don't know de Kooning's work well enough
to make such a judgement. It's why I tend to favour Braque over P, although
we simply cannot dismiss the latter, there's too much in the oeuvre that
counts as major in the century...
