Sheffield’s galleries and museums are undergoing a far-reaching
transformation. We have opened the £15 million Millennium Galleries,
refurbished the Graves Art Gallery and been awarded a grant of £11 million
from the Heritage Lottery Fund towards a £15 million project to renew the
City Museum and Mappin Art Gallery. We are also investing in a new
collection management system and planning new storage facilities.
Partnerships developed with the V & A and Tate will create innovative
exhibition and education programmes.
