Hi everyone,
Has anybody out there got experience in the current or "best" way to determine elemental enrichments/depletions in hydrothermally altered rocks, in general, and in particular the applications of the Gresens method, (which I believe has been modified quite a lot since 1967)?
I have used PER analysis, but am somewhat dumbfounded by the maths in some recently proposed methods to get around the problems of mass and volume changes and use of wt.% data. All I want is a reasonable stab at identifying my elemental changes without needing a supercomputer!
Best wishes - Rob
