If you liked the powerpoint presentation you may also like to see a new
site found at www.palmtalk.com, entitled Facing the limits, allows you to
see how indicators of global sustainability are continually changing (for
the worse unfortunately). The site has data on: world population, the
number of people killed or infected by AIDS and by Hepatitis C, arable
farmland, deforestation, soil erosion, rainforest loss, sea level rises,
species extinction, world energy use, oil reserves, natural gas reserves,
CO2 levels and global warming. The most shocking thing is too see how
quickly these figures change in front of your eyes!!
