You obviously didn't read the bit about the Pulitzer Prize. Oh well.
Regarding Singer's involvement with oil companies...uh yeah it was true.
About 20 or more years ago back during the oil crisis.
Regarding small operation stripper wells. It is my understanding that
once the well is shut down extraction of any remaining oil is virtually
impossible. Thus, while we may be saving it forever, we wont be able to
use it. Hence it is lost.
