ENVIRONMENTALISM IN THE 21ST CENTURY
http://www.mapcruzin.com/environment21/
The Bush Cabinet and anti-environmental right-wing ideology do not
bode well for the environment or environmental justice in the U.S
and around the globe. Given the recent trajectory of
environmentalism, I'm wondering if we are prepared for the fight to
come. For me, at least, it is time to look at what environmentalism
means today and what it must become to get us what we need
tomorrow.
A short list of topics include:
Environmental justice
Indigenous environmental issues
Partnering between environmental groups and polluters
Professionalization of the environmental movement
Large enviro-groups and community needs
Role of foundations and funding
Bush administration
Global justice, WTO
Capitalism and "free" markets
Action networks on the web
Role of government agencies
Right to know
Role of academic research institutions
Wise use and anti-environmentalism
Risk assessment
Cost benefit analysis
Activism vs. negotiation
Environment and economy

with the above topics. Any help appreciated.
