I never said they were, they were just anti-good or interesting art.

No they didn't have a point. They rejected rather forcibly and they did so
out of totalitarian and authoriarian fearful impulses. Questions of
accessibility are serious ones though, and there is certainly a double bind
that any politically radical artist will find him/herself in with regard to
elitism etc. I don't know any answer or if any are possible right now. It's
p'raps one of the "contradictions of capitalism".
