Hello everyone,
For those of you who weren't at yesterday's Bb meeting in Liverpool I said I
would formally report the problem we are having in upgrading to 5.5. We have
been running CourseInfo and last week our 'admin' expert successfully
migrated all the courses over to Bb 5.02 though someone told me yesterday
that any files in the digital drop box are lost (didn't get a chance to
check this). He then tried upgrading 5.5 over 5.02 and the system has gone
haywire. You can log in and see things but when you navigate to a specific
course you get system error messages and nothing is displayed. We are
running Bb on a new linux server with recommended specs.
Bb technical support have been given access to log in and look around and
will hopefully sort this out asap and once we fix it I would hope we can
produce a solution to help other people avoid this problem. Has anyone else
had problems upgrading since I wonder if the CourseInfo migration may have
played a part, though I don't see how if it was a straight forward upgrade
of the software?
