Following a couple of off-list comments, I think I ought
to clarify something I said in a reply earlier today. When I said:

I should have added: "but that doesn't meant it doesn't exist."
I don't claim anything like complete knowledge on this stuff.
A google search for mini-dvd produces 2,400 hits. It turns out
that it refers to placing DVD content on a writeable CD, allowing
anyone with a CD writer (cheap) to produce things that can be
played in DVD players (an otherwise expensive process.) It's
probably not very relevant for Mark's purpose of preserving
audio content, therefore. But it is yet another variant for
content on CDs that I'm sure will present someone with some
interesting preservation problems in the future...
