POST OF ARCHIVIST / RECORDS MANAGER
A Unique Opportunity to Record the Work of Government Sponsored Shortlife
Community Regeneration Agency
Salary £18,000 pa
Two-Year Fixed Term Appointment (with a possible extension)
The Government established six "task force" organisations to re-develop
housing, land and buildings in selected areas of the country, and to promote
a stimulus for other community developments including environment,
recreation, jobs and training.
This Trust was set up in 1993 to undertake this work for Bow in East London.
It is currently working towards the completion of this work by 31 March
2003, and wishes to appoint an archivist to manage/oversee the selection and
transfer of archives to English Partnerships. This will include advising
other staff on appropriate document storage systems.
A recognised qualification in Archives and Records Management is essential,
and preferably experience of dealing with business papers and preservation
of electronic records.
Applications from recently qualified archivists will be welcomed.
