LABORATORY & TECHNICAL SERVICES MANAGER
c £23,500 per annum
The School of Conservation Sciences, Bournemouth University is seeking
an experienced Laboratory and Technical Services Manager to take
management responsibility for the School's scientific laboratories and
other areas of technical support.
With a relevant Honours Degree, significant, practical and managerial
experience gained in a relevant scientific laboratory environment, and
knowledge of safe working practices/COSHH, you will contribute to the
strategic planning for scientific and field-based activity. Effective
people management and organisational skills are essential as you will
line manage technical staff to provide advice, research support and
analyses for research and academic staff, graduate students and
undergraduate provision as appropriate, as well as supporting needs in
teaching and learning, research and consultancy. An ability to support
archaeological and environmental sciences teaching and to devise and
implement procedures to track samples and equipment is desirable.
