Subject: Subjective beliefs and bayesian nets
Classification:=09
Please could I request your help on the following? I am exploring the
use of Bayesian nets in a decision-making problem and wish to populate
the node probability tables with expert assessments. From my initial
understanding, I must tackle the following issues and I would like to
ask if you could direct me to any state-of-the-art reviews, salient
pieces of work in literature or other information sources (e.g. WWW
discussion groups), regarding these.
1. Methods for eliciting and combining quantitative expert beliefs
2. Converting qualitative judgements to probabilities
3. Methods for reducing the number of assessments required
4. Techniques for calibrating experts and avoiding bias
Your help would be much appreciated.
Many thanks
