Mark:
Normally I'd backchannel this sort of comment and question, but I suspect
I'm not alone, on this side of The Pond, in not being able to quite fathom
what happened on the Buffalo list, so maybe an answer from you would clarify
things that might be of general interest here.
Also, I should say that some of what I gathered about this was from
semi-public statements on the Web, and so was probably heavily biased (which
is partly why I'd like your perspective).
So ...
My understanding is that the Poetics list was closely connected with the
LangPo scene, and Charles Bernstein.
At some point, there were a series of expulsions which included Kent
Johnson, Henry Gould, Richard Dillon, Carlo Parcelli (?)
Thats really about all I know, other than a vague blur. But as two of the
names above are people I have an enormous liking and respect for, I really
would appreciate some clarification.
Hope this isn't trespassing, and if you don't want to go any further than
you've already said, I'll entirely understand.
