i too love my indirection
otherwise why poetry?
however the arrogance of the literate vis a vis their others
is generally
in the assumption that writing has to come
and that its metaphors must rule
it's very, very hard to avoid this
(for instance thinking that the il- or pre-literate have a kind of writing might
be insisting on the rule of one of those literate metaphors...)
just a not-too-well connected thought
