You are invited to Preregister for the following 2 day Conference to
be held in Sheffield, gateway to the Peak District. Simply send an

and email address. Preregistration will take place between 1st May
2001 and 1st June 2001. All those who are preregistered will then
be given the month of June to pay the conference fees (£ 150 plus
VAT). Those not paying by 30th June will then have their place
passed on to someone on the reserve list.
A Call for Abstracts will follow later this week.

We invite abstract submissions from any practising librarian, student or academic that
cover any of the following topics:
Examplesof primary research that extends or builds upon the existing evidence
base of health information
Examplesof secondary research that captures the current state of our knowledge
on relevant health information topics
Discussionpapers that outline ways to progress evidence based librarianship,
locally or nationally
A conference abstract submission form will be available from our web site later this
week (further message to follow). Deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. BST on
Friday 1st June 2001.
