Wildlife internships with an emphasis on Harbour Seal rescue and
rehabilitation are being offered by Island Wildlife Natural Care Centre.
Island Wildlife is a charitable organization located on Salt Spring
Island in
British Columbia. The Centre cares for all indigenous wild animals
including
40+ Harbour Seal pups each summer. Island Wildlife specializes in
Alternative
Medicine (Homeopathy and herbal remedies) along with conventional
veterinary
protocols. Besides our small staff which includes a full time
veterinarian,
Dr. Marielle Bonnet, Island Wildlife will be utilizing twelve interns
throughout the summer.
Interns will be involved in all aspects of animal care, not merely
cleaning
and food prep. The internships last eight weeks and are on a voluntary
basis.
However, comfortable accomodations and about 75% of meals will be
provided.
For more information and an application see our web site.
