National Cataloguing Unit for the Archives of Contemporary Scientists
The NCUACS is a specialised unit for the locating and cataloguing of the
archives of contemporary British scientists and engineers, it works in
association with the Royal Society, and is based in the Library of the
University of Bath. Current projects include Nobel Laureates, the first
woman to be elected to the Fellowship of the Royal Society, and archives
relating to the development of antibiotics, plant ecology and nature
conservation and space research.
We are now looking for an archivist to assist with a number of cataloguing
projects. Applicants should have a good honours degree, with an
appropriate archive qualification. An interest in current ICT developments
in archives would be an advantage. The post will be offered for nine
months in the first instance.
Salary in the range £16,775 - £18,731 per annum.
