We've just been asked by a researcher if they would be allowed to bring in a
handheld scanner to use in conjunction with their laptop in our searchroom.
We allow the use of laptops, but we're not too sure what to answer about the
scanner.
Aside from the light exposure and handling of records, does anyone have any
views on this? I think it's something that's going to happen more frequently
as the equipment gets cheaper.
We would appreciate your comments.
Thanks.
