This may be of interest to anyone needing to answer longitudinal needs (or
just comparisons across different sources of data) in Winmax. Everythign
hinges on different states of ACTIVATION in Winmax...codes, files etc.
Chris if your files are already coded in Winmax - you won't want to
replicate all that work in Nvivo - no way of transferring work between the
two I am afraid.
But WInmax will produce the goods - albeit in a slightly diffferent way.
If you haven't got files already organised into 'Time' text groups
Assign Variables with Time values to your files - look in Variables main
menu
create New variables - and enter var 'time' values for each file.
Then activate your files by variable (or 'logical activation' depending
which version you have)
Then activate the codes you are interested in - for each set of time
activations above.... make sure your coded segment window is open...so you
can view relevant coded segments.
(thats rather brief - but give me a call if you want to dicsuss it while you
are in front of your project while in the software)
