Scott,
Have you considered the possibility of a peripheral entrapment neuropathy
(lateral femoral cutaneous, ilioingual nerves).
Kopell and Thompson have written some excellent information that I have
found extremely helpful. Good luck

Scott, have you checked her ilio tibial band? I have used myofascial
release to the band with nice results in freeing up rotation at the hip. My
patients often lose the ability to cross the affected leg over the other in
sitting - painful flexion and medial rotation. I eyeball this to see if I'm
getting results. Good luck.
