Scott:
I believe that it is this practice autonomy, which Australian
physiotherapists have earned, that has resulted in Australian leadership and
practice-clinical innovation the rest of the physical therapy world has come
to admire, i.e. practice autonomy fosters many professional behaviors, one
of which is practice-clinical innovation. However, of even more importance
may be autonomy's resultant "affective neutrality" which allows the
practitioner to function as an uninhibited, altruistic patient advocate.
I believe the rest of the physical therapy world needs to actively
follow suit.
Please provide me with any info you can.
Thank you.
