My 2 year old son is suffering from post viral encephalitis. He lost all
motot skills, but is slowly recovering. He is now able to crawl and sit up
on his own and has pretty good manual dexterity. But, he still can't walk.
I need some suggestions for excercises to strengthen his trunk and legs.
The therapists at his hospital are far from competent, so any suggestions
would be greatly appreciated by my wife and myself. I currently have him
climb up and down a step stool to build some arm and leg coordination and
strength, and it has been suggested that I do some swiss ball exercises with
him. What do you guys think?
Thanks in advance,
Drew and Shannon Roberson
