Michael,
I don't believe you should have criticized Sarah in such a abrasive manner
(ie, using capital letters). I agree with Sarah that too much information
sometimes is overloading for one's brain and can become quite confusing. I
too have experienced this... how can one suggest that the lecturer is
fearful of a student finding something that she doesn't know?? Furthermore,
the way Sarah expressed her view was indirect and very soft, so I don't feel
that it was a "public ticking off of the student." Next time, I feel you
should be careful when jumping to extremes.
To Shalini, take Sarah's advise and read the material you have first,
understand it, and then look for more. Otherwise you will end up like a lot
of Physiotherapists and students who make no sense of what they are reading.
Just a piece of advise from somebody who graduated not that long ago.
