Raising Awareness of Engineering Information Resources
British Library, St Pancras
January 11th 2001, 5.00 - 7.00 pm
The Aslib Engineering Group, in association with the Engineering
Institutions Librarians' Committee, invites you to a free evening seminar to
mark the launch of a new "Student Guide to Engineering Information Resource
Centres".
This will consist of presentations on three pragmatic approaches to raising
awareness of existing engineering information resources.
Bob Rhodes, the author of the Guide, will discuss its compilation and
purpose, and also demonstrate the forthcoming web version, followed by a
presentation on the Managing Access to Grey Literature Collections (MAGiC)
project which is being led by Cranfield University. The evening will
conclude with a talk by the British Library on how to access the St Pancras
facilities, with a tour of the new Science Reading Rooms.
To book a place please use the form at http://www.magic.ac.uk/booking.html.
