Dear Friend
I am writing to inform you of two Unions 21 events taking place in the
future.
EVENT 1. LOOKING BACK TO THE FUTURE, this Thursday, T&G, 2pm
This Thursday sees the latest Unions 21 seminar. Four speakers will
address four different aspects of the history of trade unions -
unions and the law; unions and the Labour Party; union structure; and
developing union reps. Each speaker will focus specifically on the
lessons that need to be learned from the past in building tomorrow's
unions.
The speakers are:
- Lord McCarthy (Labour Peer)
- Geoffrey Goodman (Journalist and Broadcaster)
- Robert Taylor (Author and Industrial Correspondent, FT)
- Paul Edwards (Industrial Relations Research Unit, Warwick University)
Sarah Ward of Connect will chair the seminar, and full details are
available on our website - http://www.unions21.org.uk/.
Most places at the seminar have been filled, but there remain a
handful of spaces. So if you would like to attend, or have a friend
