Hello,
this short message is to:
1) remind you that SED membership fees, which include a RED subscription,
are due for 2001;
2) inform you that the present mailing list has moved;
3) the "EconomicDynamics Links" feature of the last newsletter had no
links..., a new try is below.
1) 2001 memberships to the Society for Economic Dynamics are due now. For
a $US80 you also enjoy a subscription for volume 4 of the Review of
Economic Dynamics. A convenient form is located at:
http://www.EconomicDynamics.org/SED2.htm
2) The EconomicDynamics mailing list used to be based at Mailbase. This
service has now stopped and has been migrated to JISCmail. As a current
subscriber to the mailing list there is nothing you need to do. In the
process, we have corrected many email addresses, some of you may have
missed the past few messages.
3) The last message contained the November 2000 Newsletter. One feature
was not properly formatted in the email version. So here it is again. I
strongly encourage you to use this service:
EconomicDynamics Links: HoPEc: A Powerful Author Registration Tool
Ever wondered where the author of an old working paper is located now?
Ever struggled to find what an author has published since he wrote an
article? Help is available now, but it relies on the author having
registered, and this may be you. HoPEc <http://hopec.repec.org/>is an
author database that enables economists to associate themselves with the
items they have authored among the 110,000 working papers and journal
articles in the RePEc (Research Papers in Economics) database. By
registering, you can claim authorship of your works and effectively put
together a CV that is then used by several bibliographic indices on the
web. For example, someone having found one of your works on IDEAS
<http://ideas.repec.org/> would be able to find your other works and your
most recent contact information with just one click.
About 900 economists have already taken advantage of this opportunity to
enhance the dissemination of their research. You can help make the
Internet a powerful research tool by registering with HoPEc, too.
