I'm planning my "qualitative methods in disability research" course for
next year and have decided, again, that there is no perfect textbook and
that I must put together my own reader. My students range from new master's
level students with little research exposure to experienced doctoral
students. We maintain a strong focus on disability throughout the course
but also run through basics of qualitative research. I would appreciate
hearing recommendations from others about books and articles that you have
found particularly valuable for teaching either the basics or disability
