Academic Positions
The Department of Philosophy at the University of Saskatchewan
invites
applications for two tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant
Professor, effective July 1, 2001. The desired areas of expertise for
these positions are (1) Moral Theory and (2) Philosophy of the Human
Sciences, the latter broadly construed to include Cognitive Science,
Philosophy of Biology, or Epistemology, as well as various areas of
exact philosophy. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a
variety of courses, possibly including introductory courses in applied
ethics and logic. We are seeking candidates who have a strong
commitment to undergraduate teaching as well as research and
publication. Candidates should normally have a PhD by the time of
appointment. A full teaching load in the Department consists of five
semester-courses per year. Please send applications (including a CV,
