Accessing Our Humanities Collections: a subject guide for researchers
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A new JISC publication 'Accessing Our Humanities Collections: a
subject guide for researchers' is now freely available to researchers,
librarians, support staff and learners within the humanities and
social sciences.
The subject index will help identify special collections and archives
of particular relevance to your subject area. The publication is FREE
and contains helpful descriptions of collections and archives
available throughout the UK higher education sector, as well as local
contact details should you require further information. Those
collections included are specially recognised for their rich research
value. All received funding via the joint funding councils as part of
the Follett Specialised Research Collections in the Humanities
initiative. The initiative is now complete and as a result of the
funding, access to the collections has now been significantly
enhanced.
To request your free copy please visit http://www.humbul.ac.uk/nff/
Copies will be distributed on a first come, first served basis to
members of higher and further education institutions within the UK.
An online version will available shortly.
The guide is being distributed by Humbul, the Humanities Hub of the
Resource Discovery Network on behalf of the DNER office
<http://www.humbul.ac.uk/>.
