Huntercombe Manor Hospital is located in a grade 1 listed Manor House
surrounded by gardens near Maidenhead. It is dedicated to the
provision of high quality treatment services for young people
experiencing psychological and emotional problems.
Our experienced team of doctors, nurses, therapists, teachers and
social workers offers each person a treatment programme tailored to
their individual needs and those of their family.
How to reach us:
Huntercombe Manor is easily reached by road, rail and air. It is
situated just off junction 7 of the M4, near Maidenhead; 10 mins by
taxi from Slough train station and within a mile of Burnham and
Taplow mainline stations. Heathrow airport is a 15 minute drive away,
Gatwick is an hour's drive.
ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
The speakers between them have over fifteen years of experience in
the treatment and research of severe child, adolescent, and adult
onset eating disorders, working both individually and as part of a
multidisciplinary team. Susanne Jorgensen is a skilled lecturer and
regular book reviewer for Psychotherapy Review. Marc Neiderman is the
author of several presentations and publications dealing particularly
with the issues of 'forced feeding' and prognosis and outcome in
children and adolescents with eating disorders. Lucy Serpell has
recently completed her PhD on the maintenance of anorexia nervosa.
Her research interests include treatment persistence and cognitive
approaches to eating disorders.
