The National Sports Medicine Institute of the UK (NSMI) is a registered
medical charity that in partnership with The Association of Chartered
Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine (ACPSM) runs a national programme of
post registration education for chartered physiotherapists and all other NHS
approved healthcare professionals.
We have a few places left on the following course:
'Sports injuries management of the knee' - Saturday 27th January 2001,
Edinburgh.
The programme includes:
Lectures:
* Applied/clinical anatomy of the knee.
Malcolm Macnicol MCh FRCS. Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon.
* Mechanisms of knee injuries, update on current research.
Jane Grant BSc MSc MCSP SRP. Lecturer in physiotherapy.
Physiotherapist to Scottish and GB swimming team.
Practical 'hands on' workshops:
* Workshop 1 - The practical assessment and treatment of knee
injuries in the clinic.
Sue Warwick MCSP SRP FSOM. Private practitioner specialising in
sports injuries.
* Workshop 2 - Final rehabilitation of knee injuries.
Mandy Belch BSc MCSP SRP. Physiotherapist to Scottish
Athletics and Scottish disabled athletics (SSAD).
