Nelson:
I conducted a cost effectiveness analysis on Haemophilus Influenzae
vaccine in Brazil. The paper was published in the suppl. of pharma
coeconomics last Oct. Unit cost information for Colombia can be
obtained thru Instituo de Seguro Social (ISS). The ISS covers
industrial and commercial employees, as well as self employed.
Government employees are also covered through special subdivision, which
covers military and police.
A national network of 650 hospitals and some 2200 health centers provides
the health care access, funded through MOH. The following is the source of
care :
MOH - 52%
Social Security - 15%
Private - 10%
None - 23%
In terms of health care expenditure - public sector - 66.7%, private 33.3%.
85% of the hospitals are owned by public sector and 15% by private.
I hope this is of some help. Your CE framework has to done right by payor.
