Assistant Professor of German, tenure-track or
non-tenure-track. The Department of Germanic and
Slavic Languages at Vanderbilt University is seeking an
energetic individual with strong scholarly interests to
join a dynamic department and enhance key areas of
expertise. The area of specialization is open; but
interest in, and ability to offer, interdisciplinary
courses broadly in the humanities is highly desirable.
(Examples include history and literature, cultural studies,
film studies, gender studies, Jewish studies, and
philosophy and literature). The position requires the
Ph.D. degree in hand by June, 2001. Send a letter of
