Dear Steve,
Meyer, Lasker and Robinson (Vision Res. 25: 561-563, 1985) state that
in proper conditions human smooth pursuit velocity can reach about 100
°/s.
Buizza and Schmid (Exp. Brain Res. 63: 395-401, 1986; Med. Biol. Eng.
Comput. 27: 617-622, 1989) confirm this result, study the influence of
stimulus conditions/parameters on SP performance and explain why most
authors reported much lower limit on upper SP velocity .
I hope this information may help you.
Best regards
Angelo Buizza
