Dear Bill,
Many thanks for your interesting reply. It sounds as if it is very different
there.
I would like to ask a couple more questions about what happens when someone
wants to put on an open air concert, say on a farmer's field.
Does the local government have a set of general guidelines for any event that
might happen in their area, and the event organiser has to go along with
these. Or does the local government draw up a separate set of guidelines for
each event? Does the event organiser have to draw up plans for the locel
government? Does the event organiser have to pay a fee for the guidelines?
It might be a simpler system than the licensing system in England. But I am
sure you are right that locel government staff need specific training about
the planning and management of music events.
Anyway, I look forward to hearing more about it when you have time.
Best wishes
Penny
