The Transnational Crime and Corruption Center(TraCCC)
is inviting to join its information distribution
service and discussion group on organized crime and
corruption in CEE and the former Soviet Union.
The goal of the e-mail discussion group is to
facilitate an exchange of ideas, research and
policy-related information among a community of
international academics, law-enforcement officials,
policy makers, businessmen, NGOs practitioners, and
representatives of mass-media who are concerned about
the problem of organized crime and corruption in
countries of the former Soviet Union.
Through this e-mail list TraCCC will inform you about
recent developments of its research programs, new
publications and research reports from our
headquarters and the field offices, and new contents
of our web-sites.
Among the postings that we accept from the members
nafd post in the discussion are:
- announcements of the conferences, seminars and
other research-related or educational programs on
organized crime and corruption in FSU;
- announcements of competitions and funding
opportunities for research in the area;
- announcements and reviews of new publications on
related issues;
- requests for research cooperation and sharing the
information among the members;
- discussion on current socio-political and economic
issues in countries of FSU that are related to the
topics of OC&C;
- reflections on methodological issues of studying
OC&C;
- information on the web and other informational
resources on OC&C that might be of interest for the
members.
