Dear All,
CHANGE OF ADDRESS FOR EARLY-CHILDHOOD DISCUSSION LIST
>From Monday 27 November, the early-childhood list is moving from
mailbase to jiscmail.
You do not need to take any action - the changeover will be
automatic - but from November 27 you should note that the email
and web address of the list will change.
The address for posting messages to the list will change from:
[log in to unmask]
to
[log in to unmask]
The website address will become:
http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/lists/early-childhood
and the email address for the listowner will become:
[log in to unmask]
Hopefully, these changes of address are the only way the move will
affect most members of the list, but please remember to change any
references to the list address you might have in your own printed
material or webpages.
I have kept this message as brief as possible, but please do
contact me if this is not clear or if you would like any more
information.
I have added some additional information below on JISC and for any
members who regularly use email commands to manage their
membership of the list.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
JISC - the Joint Information Systems Committee - is the body
responsible for UK inter-university technology, and they are taking
over the running of the UK academic mailing list service from
mailbase at the University of Newcastle. You can access more
information on the changeover from the JISC website at:
http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/docs/transition.htm
EMAIL COMMANDS
Anyone who uses email commands to manage their membership
of the list (e.g. for suspending mail, joining and leaving the list)
should note that jiscmail uses LISTSERVE software, which is
slightly different from the software provided by mailbase. If you are
using email membership commands please have a look at the
jiscmail documentation on their website
(http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/), or contact me for more information.
Best wishes,
Lesley Telford
