Attention Microsoft Outlook Users
Symantec have warned us about a new mass mailing worm recently
discovered. The worm called W32.NAVIDAD arrives as an attachment
NAVIDAD.EXE with no specific subject, often from a friendly address,
and then attempts to reply to all inbox messages that contain a
single attachment in Microsoft Outlook. After execution the worm may
cause your system to become unstable and crash.
Protection
----------
Virus definitions dated November 9, 2000, or later will protect
against the W32.Navidad worm. Updates are available from
Symantec via the LIVE UPDATE function within your Norton
AntiVirus program

Computing Services currently recommend Norton AntiVirus version
7 for Campus use and Norton AntiVirus v6 for home users.

This is one reason why you should not send attachments to the list!
