I'm amazed that this piece came off so well in the translation! Seeing
as English has no genders anymore, I would have thought it impossible to
have translated it with any of the passion that must have induced its
writing. This is why I love to read older forms of English. I believe that
our tongue, as we speak it now, is very boring and lacks true passion. The
poets, however, and those who are trying to seek new ways of speaking, have
kept some passion in the language, I think. Perhaps this is why we study
literature--to find the holy grail of the sensual which is all but gone from
our language now. I could go on and on about this, but will not do so in
this public forum. I do hope nobody minds this musing. Thanks for reading.
