But Anne -- as I wrote, the Colin in the Lodowick Bryskett poem
cannot be Spenser because he did not accompany Sidney over
the Alps. I know that, in his glosse for 'September', Spenser (O.K.,
'E. K.') explained that he was the author of the SC and that Harvey
was Hobbinol -- but at what stage was that note added? After
Marlowe had become a persona non grata?
