What Spenser means to me, in part, is that both good and evil exist within us
but how much more difficult for the evil to take hold when we quest for good,
however doggedly or even ineffectually. This is not to judge you or the other
contributors, but the idea of what you say... if you give up the list, it
seems so
un-Spenserian, at least to me.
