Hi Stephen,
I just recently bought a laptop with Win98 with the intention of using it
for my qualitative dissertation. It came with the coupon for the WinME
upgrade, but I decided not to use it because I've heard from several people
that the bugs are not all worked out and there tend to be problems like the
one you described. I have no idea how it might affect use of your software
packages but I'd be wary of WinME for a while until they have the kinks
worked out. I am about to purchase software myself and haven't yet chosen
which program although NVivo is currently at the top of my list. If you
find out anything specific to the software packages about WinME, I'd
appreciate it if you'll let me know.
Best of luck to you in choosing a package,
Kim Sumner Mayer
