Anna,
The second article that I gave you on the last e-mail I got off a friend
just yesterday titled "Clinical Implications of Iliopsoas Dysfunction." I
had a read through it last night, and to my amazement, the author Wendy
Aspinall in Canada actually has the same theory to back pain as that of
Aileen Jeferris. She agreed that the iliopsoas has been ignored and there
isn't enough biomechanical study to confirm what iliopsoas actually does.
However, speaking from a clinical background, she had a detailed analysis of
the iliopsoas muscle which is similar to my understanding. The downside is
that the references were not extensive, but it is a start.
Just thought you would like to know about it - I was so excited last night
after reading this I couldn't sleep :P I may write a correspondence to this
Wendy Aspinall and ask her a few questions.
Henry***
