The Department of Romance Languages at the University of Oregon announces
an opening effective September 15, 2001.
Assistant Professor of Renaissance French and Italian culture. Tenure track
position.
Ph.D. in hand by Fall 2001. The ideal candidate will be able to teach at
all levels in Italian and French, and will have a research agenda focused
on early modern culture and literature in French and Italian. The
successful candidate will teach a broad range of culture, language and
literature courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs. Evidence of
outstanding teaching, scholarly potential, and informed interest in
theoretical approaches. Professional level fluency in both languages. We
are a creative department of Romance Languages currently focused on
developing innovative curriculum at both the undergraduate and graduate
levels in and across Italian, French and Spanish. Please submit cover
