TUTORIALS:
OZCHI 2000 offers a comprehensive program of tutorials.
By popular demand Tom Hewett will again be coming to Australia to lead a
tutorial on Cognitive Factors in Design. This tutorial provides an excellent
overview to cognitive issues and is particularly suited to people new to the
industry.
HCI professionals working in industry often need to convince others of the
value of usability. The full-day tutorial Successful Strategies for Selling
Usability into Organisations gives many valuable tips on how to do this.
If your research or work involves the design of complex systems we recommend
the tutorial on Human Error Assessment for approaches to human error
identification and quantification.
Fun, beauty and bodily interaction are often forgotten aspects of HCI. We
recommend this tutorial to anyone involved in hardware or physical design.
The tutorial on Scenario-Based Usability Engineering presented by Mary Beth
Rosson and John M. Carroll is filling fast - register now to secure your
place.
More than 120 delegates are already registered! Join us in December -
online registration on the web. If any questions, please email me.....
