Tony
There have been a rash of theses sites appearing lately (see
physiobase.com...an even more comprehensive site) These are known as
Business to Professional sites (or B to P), now fashionable that the old
Business to Customer (B to C) and Business to Business (B to B) are out
of fashion.
They make money through their advertising rather than through a
membership and might be able to sell their database of customers (ie
you) to other businesses. I doubt that they will ever charge you for
using their site because they will lose customers who will go elsewhere.
They will probably be able to save you money by allowing you to buy
physio-related items through cartels (ie large groups of people who buy
in bulk).
Physiobase.com is really very impressive (I don't work for them...
honest)
