Here are two articles which discuss the weakening of the diaphragm by
cortisone type drugs. Does this mean that individuals who are undergoing
corticosteroid therapy will have impaired ability to utilise some of the
respiratory muscles during heavy lifting tasks? Are there any list members
who have undergone this type of therapy and noticed compromised
breath-holding and trunk stability during lifts such as squats and deadlifts?
