Mart,
Other articles that I have found in the library were:
Prasad, A.S. MD., Phd. "Zinc in Growth and Development and spectrum of human
zinc deficiency" Am J clin Nutr 7(5) p377-384 1998
Castro E.C.et al. "zinc deficiencyincreases the frequency of single stranded
DNA breaks in rat liver" Nutr Res V12 p721-36 1992
Apparently, zinc plays a big part also in anorexia, depression (esp post
natal depression), and growth retardation.
Bryce-Smith D and Simpson RID., "Anorexia, Depression and Zinc Deficiency"
Lancet Nov 17 1984.
Hope this will shed more light on this issue.
