That definition does not distinguish elearning from the earlier term,
online learning. Maybe this is custom and practice, but I'd like
elearning (ie electronically-assisted learning) to cover other types
of technology that are increasingly used to avoid the dullness of
online learning, such as videoconferencing, interactive television or
discrete unnetworked computer resources. Sure, these may be
adequately enabled in a networked computer environment one day, but
not exclusively.
