Dear Mel, I believe in global training ,anyway. I mean re-training a
movement but not an isolated muscle. I do not conceive rehab of an isolated
muscle. Functionally it is impossible. I think that when some PTs look for
training a specific muscle they ask for movements which are not spontaneous
and this must not be stored. I believe in function. We cannot invent
muscles synergies. They exist. I would have to go back to the most recent
aquisitions in motor learning to be more accurate and scientific. My
experience showed me that we learn when we want to achieve a goal.
Why do we see so many athletes wearing splint of all kinds? They probably
have been trained to perform "dysfunctional movements" and pay for it. Or
they did too much and this also is a severe training error. Mel, did you
receive a message from the team of Professor Rabischong? I sent them your
e-mail address to an intermediate. I did know how to reach them directly.
Please, let me know. Best regards. AMVN Thank you for your so interesting
topics.
